Health Assessment & Other Information
Click the button below to access the daily health assessment form:
1. Just before you come to early music class, please complete an online health assessment.
2. You must bring your own instruments (and materials for playing your instrument) and books to class. For the first class there will not be required instruments and books. Given COVID restrictions, sharing items will not be allowed, and social distancing will be strictly enforced. Students’ instruments will be stored in the music room during school. Students will be expected to bring their instruments home each day for home practice.
3. You MUST ARRIVE for music class before 7:15am. At 7:15am I will be outside to check student health assessments, and then we will enter the school together to start music class. Any students arriving without a completed online heath assessment, or late, WILL NOT BE PERMITTED IN THE SCHOOL AND WILL BE MARKED ABSENT FROM MUSIC CLASS.
4. Each music class has students on a wait list. These are students that would like to take music, but are not allowed at this time because of COVID class size limitations. The class size limits allow us to maintain the required social distancing. Because there are many students waiting to take music, any student currently enrolled, who is showing patterns of absence or unpreparedness in any way, risk being removed from the class so that a student on the wait list can join. Preparedness for class means having the required materials for each class and consistently doing the home practice as detailed by Mr. Noftle.
Even though we have to be very careful and strict to maintain COVID safety, I am confident that this will be a fun and fulfilling year of music education for each student. Let’s be grateful for this opportunity to learn together and make the most of it!
